September 2, 2024 – First Assault Captured

A Jewish resident of New York was assaulted with a tambourine at Union Square. A snapshot of the assaulter provided by the victim showed a female suspect with a mostly disguised face.

October 7, 2024 – Second Incident Linked

Another assault of a New York Jewish resident with a tambourine took place at the same location. A snapshot from online video footage showed a suspect with similar disguise and face features to the suspect in first incident.

October 15, 2024 – Identification & Arrest

The NYPD Hate Crime Division published the snapshot from the second incident as a bolo on the suspect. An hour later our system matched both disguised faces to the face of Julieta Regina Salgado in the database, providing evidence that led to her getting arrested and charged.
